Setup Procedure for Iris Portal
Step 1: Configure Custom Metadata
Navigate to Custom Metadata Types in Salesforce Setup.
Specify the following configuration variables as provided by the Olympus-Grid team:
portalName: (Value provided by Olympus-Grid team)
pageTitle: (Value provided by Olympus-Grid team)
bundleResource: (Value provided by Olympus-Grid team)
Step 2: Setup Digital Experience or Force.com Site
Go to Setup → Digital Experiences (or Sites, depending on your licensing configuration).
Within the appropriate site:
Set the Active Site Page to
PortalVF
.Set the URL Rewriter Class to
PortalSiteUrlRewriter
.Ensure Active is set to
True
.
Step 3: Configure Site Guest User Permissions
Navigate to the Site Guest User record associated with your portal.
Assign the following permissions:
Olympus-Grid: Portal Site Guest User
Any additional specific permissions required by your configuration.
Step 4: Set the Site Guest User Email Address
Open the Site Guest User record in Salesforce.
Update the Email Address field to the appropriate email, e.g.,
support@olympus-grid.com
.
Step 5: Verify the Organization-Wide Email Address
Navigate to Setup → Organization-Wide Addresses.
Verify that the same email address (e.g.,
support@olympus-grid.com
) exists and is verified.
Step 6: Create a Self-Signed Certificate
Navigate to Setup → Certificate and Key Management.
Click Create Self-Signed Certificate.
Name the certificate DefaultKey.
Save the certificate.
Step 7: Access the Iris Portal
Navigate to the portal URL.
Sign in using the appropriate credentials.
Step 8: Update Identity Settings
In Salesforce, navigate to the Identity__c record associated with your user.
Set the field SuperAdmin to
true
.
Step 9: Verify SuperAdmin Access
Log in to the Iris Portal and confirm that you have SuperAdmin access.
