Setup Procedure for Iris Portal

Step 1: Configure Custom Metadata

  • Navigate to Custom Metadata Types in Salesforce Setup.

  • Specify the following configuration variables as provided by the Olympus-Grid team:

    • portalName: (Value provided by Olympus-Grid team)

    • pageTitle: (Value provided by Olympus-Grid team)

    • bundleResource: (Value provided by Olympus-Grid team)

Step 2: Setup Digital Experience or Force.com Site

  1. Go to SetupDigital Experiences (or Sites, depending on your licensing configuration).

  2. Within the appropriate site:

    • Set the Active Site Page to PortalVF.

    • Set the URL Rewriter Class to PortalSiteUrlRewriter.

    • Ensure Active is set to True.

Step 3: Configure Site Guest User Permissions

  1. Navigate to the Site Guest User record associated with your portal.

  2. Assign the following permissions:

    • Olympus-Grid: Portal Site Guest User

    • Any additional specific permissions required by your configuration.

Step 4: Set the Site Guest User Email Address

  1. Open the Site Guest User record in Salesforce.

  2. Update the Email Address field to the appropriate email, e.g., [email protected].

Step 5: Verify the Organization-Wide Email Address

  1. Navigate to SetupOrganization-Wide Addresses.

  2. Verify that the same email address (e.g., [email protected]) exists and is verified.

Step 6: Create a Self-Signed Certificate

  1. Navigate to SetupCertificate and Key Management.

  2. Click Create Self-Signed Certificate.

  3. Name the certificate DefaultKey.

  4. Save the certificate.

Step 7: Access the Iris Portal

  1. Navigate to the portal URL.

  2. Sign in using the appropriate credentials.

Step 8: Update Identity Settings

  1. In Salesforce, navigate to the Identity__c record associated with your user.

  2. Set the field SuperAdmin to true.

Step 9: Verify SuperAdmin Access

  • Log in to the Iris Portal and confirm that you have SuperAdmin access.
